Winter - In winter we don't just
hibernate and wait for warm weather to return. We have frequent
presentations on various energy and building topics at public meetings
in the city.
Spring/Summer - The spring and summer are where we are most visible. We provide active and interactive displays of solar's amazingly subtle and magnificent power at open air events like Earth Day, Enviro-Fest, and the North Country Fair during the summer. To this end we have built a Solar Display Trailer showcasing solar air and water heating, and photovoltaic electrical power generation. We also have a number of other displays and activities; such as smelting metal with the huge Fresnel lense, reflective heating races and sun mirror chases. Workshops - A number of exciting workshops and classes are being planned. Stay tuned for further announcements. Solar Seminars will start up again in the fall. |
